Tomoe River Paper has long been renowned as the finest quality paper for fountain pens. Fine weight and texture offer smooth writing with no bleed, acid-free for longevity, Tomoe River Paper provides excellent tactile feedback, the optimal writing experience.
Although The Tomoe River Paper Company discontinued Tomoe River Paper in 2021, production transferred to Sanzen Paper Mfg. Sanzen reassessed the secret recipe, a mix of hardwood pulp (eucalyptus) and softwood pulp (pine, etc.), improving consistency, to create a paper that is smoother, more resistant to bleeding and 5 microns thicker, offering a firmer feel and greater strength against rubbing, useful for use with pencils and erasable pens.
