Recycling silk wedding saris is a cottage industry run by women in villages around Bangalore, India. Each ball has it's own unique rustic character, with a mix of fabric textures in varying widths, raw edges and irregular sewn and knotted joins. 

Locally this silk is small batch dyed-by-hand with non-toxic dyes, the mix of fabrics revealing variegated tones.

Sold individually, balls weigh approx 45-50grams.
