Premium Egyptian Linen Thread

Premium linen waxed thread made from the finest Egyptian flax, a versatile addition to your crafting stash.

Perfect for hand sewing, leather stitching, bookbinding, beading, lacing, tatting, embroidery and so much more.

Available in black and white, presented on vintage inspired wooden spools, measuring approx 8cm tall x 5cm diameter.

Thread made from flax is similar to cotton but stronger, stiffer, more sunlight resistant and faster drying. Strong and durable, linen thread does not stretch, and due to the way the natural fibres are twisted together, it knots very well. 

Linen thread is available in two sizes: 

12/3 (approx. 1mm thick) / 116 metres (127 yards)

18/3 (approx 0.6mm thick) / 157 metres (172 yards) 

Note: The first number is the thickness of the thread - the higher the number, the thinner the thread. The second number is the number of strands that are twisted together. 

Fabrics sewn with linen thread can be laundered at 60° C and ironed on high.
