Plant Dyed Cotton Thread Bobbins

Handspun cotton thread, naturally plant dyed in a range of appealing muted tones.

Wound onto little bamboo bobbins, this textural, 100% cotton thread is suitable for sashiko, embroidery, slow stitch and jewellery making.

Small scale, dyed by hand using traditional Chinese tie-dye techniques with natural indigo and foraged plants.

These bobbins come in two thicknesses - single and double. Single thread is approx 0.8 mm diameter.

Bobbins measure approx 8cm long - single thread thickness contains approx 30 metres length, double thread thickness contains approx 20 metres length.

Sold individually, choose from a range of colours.

Handwash in warm water. Dark colours should be washed separately before use, and for a few washes, to release excess colour which may stain other fabrics if left touching them while wet.
