Handwoven in Kenya from kasigau sisal grass, using only natural dyes from tree bark, plants and soil, each basket is unique.

Available in four sizes - small/med/large/x-large sold individually. Please note, medium, large and extra large are available for in-store pick up only, we can only post the small.

About the Artisans:

At the base of Mt Kasigau, South East Kenya, basket weavers live in a stunning yet vulnerable ecosystem. Income from weaving is so important in providing a sustainable alternative to environmentally harmful practices like the poaching of wildlife such as elephants and giraffes and destruction of forests for charcoal, timber and farmland. Your purchase is helping these beautiful women escape poverty in their daily lives.
