Botanical Monoprint Miniatures

Miniature botanical monoprints presented on textural Japanese handmade paper cards. 

The intricate details of the smallest of flora specimens, carefully collected from my garden on DjaDja Wurrung Country.

Each piece is a one-off original, each plant specimen is carefully inked then printed with a small lino press onto kozo paper cards. 

Handmade from mulberry bark fibres, kozo paper has been traditionally made in rural Iwate for 800 years, long used for important official documents such as scriptures and books.

Each piece is around the size of a business card - approx 6 x 9cm.
