Beautiful, textural vintage homespun hemp fabric, in natural, creamy grey tones, perfect for home accents and a myriad of textile crafts.
Pure undyed hemp, hand-loomed in 1890s -1920s, available in two widths:
Runner - measures approx 32-36cm wide
Folded - measures approx 60cm total width (comes folded to approx 34cm wide)
The runner width fabric is slightly more textural than the smoother, wider folded fabric. Loomed by hand, there is variation in width, texture and tone throughout the yardage.
This is vintage fabric, in excellent un-used condition. In storage for around 90 years, sections may be slightly dusty with minor storage marks. We suggest light laundering before use.
Soft and pliable, perfect for runners and home furnishings, a natural base for any slow stitch/embroidery project.
Sold by the 1/2 metre - price is per 1/2 metre. Fabric cut to order length, if you order multiple 1/2 metres lengths you will receive as one piece.
Small-scale sourced from Ukraine, so limited amount available.
