Plant Dyed Wool Felt Sheets

Exclusive to Tribe, our artisan range of botanically dyed wool felt in natural, earthy tones is a delight to craft with.

Very small batch dyed-by-hand, using A-grade, 100% pure new wool BioFelt, the most natural undyed felt available. Fine and stong, ökotex standard 100 ensures it contains no harmful substances. 

Just a few sheets at a time are botanically dyed-by-hand, a slow, multi-step process of preparing the fabric and extracting colours from locally foraged plants and extracts, such as Eucalyptus, Mistletoe, Acacia, Madder and Myrobalan.

Sheet sizes vary, approx 25x25cm and approx 2mm thick, each sheet has it's own unique character reflecting the variations resulting from dyeing small batches by hand. Different shades, tones and variegations are part of the charm of artisan dyeing with locally foraged plant materials and botanical extracts.

This felt is beautiful for craft, toy making, doll making, home decorations, accessories, patching and embellishing garments.
