Merino Thick Cushioned Socks

High quality Australian merino wool socks, made in Australia using traditional techniques and finished by hand.

These thick full-cushioned socks are made from Australian merino wool 18.5 to 19 micron, comprising 85% wool for warmth and 15% nylon for durability.

Made using 84 needles, a terry knitting instrument lying between every needle creates a warm and springy cushion inside the sock. The air pockets within the terry knit act to insulate your feet while allowing them to breathe, the wool fibres absorb any moisture, keeping your feet comfortable and dry in hot or cold weather. 

Super warm, these socks are ideal for wearing with work boots, gumboots or hiking and great as bed socks to survive the chilly winter weather. Weighs approximately 190 grams, available in blue/black or cream/grey.

The Lindner family has been proudly making socks since 1921. From humble beginnings in Germany in the 1920s, they moved to the sheep growing district of Goulburn, NSW in 1987. Their socks quickly became popular with locals – especially tradies working through cold winters, who nicknamed their thick full-cushioned socks “concrete socks” because they could comfortably stand all day on cold, hard concrete wearing their Lindner socks.

Now located in Crookwell, NSW, surrounded by many great wool breeders, the Lindner’s pursue their passion for creating the best quality socks from some of the best merino in the world.

We have a major aversion to today’s mass produced, disposable culture of built-in obsolescence and advertising convincing us to buy more stuff we don’t need. Instead, we value timeless quality, investing in heirloom pieces to last a lifetime, each item unique and handmade by a real person. We want you to love your purchase as much as us, so if for some reason it’s not exactly what you want, return it within 14 days and we’ll provide a full store credit on the purchase price (not including postage).
