Warndu Native Bush Teas

$20.00

A delicious collection of premium loose leaf teas, blended from Australian Native Bush Foods and Bush Botanicals by Warndu.

Warndu means 'good' in the Adnyamathanha language, native to the Flinders Ranges country. Founded in 2016, Warndu is an indigenous owned company, with a mission to regenerate culture, community, tradition, heath and our soils.

All Warndu teas are hand-blended from premium dried herbs and fruits to ensure a perfect balance of native Australian bush flavours.

Made in Australia from 100% locally sourced, seasonal and wild-harvested produce, choose from three delicious blends:

Rooibos & Rosella

A floral, luscious tea with a sweet, nutty flavour, often compared to hibiscus tea. Along with earthy notes with hints of caramel, vanilla and a smokey essence likened to tobacco, perfectly matched with crisp tart berry and rhubarb taste of Rosella flowers.

Whilst not exclusively native to Australia, our rosella has developed a personality to make it our own. It has stunning red flowers that produce a sweet and tart flavour that goes well in just about anything. Rosella is rich in vitamin C and anthocyanins,  minerals including calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium and iron and protein.

Emu Bush Tea

Amazing sleepy and relaxation tea, perfect for bedtime or time of stress. This strong, Eucalyptus like, Australian aromatic is a very important healing herbal tea for our First Nations peoples.

Made from 100% dried emu bush leaf, Eremophila alternifolia has a stunning delicate, herbal and earthy taste. Indigenous people consider Emu Bush to be the most sacred and mystical plant species found in central Australia, with many ceremonial and medicinal uses.

A natural and healthy antiseptic, with incredible anti-bacterial properties, the leaves have been used as a decoction, for sores and wounds; an infusion for colds, headaches, chest pains and diarrhea treatment and smoked to create a sterile environment for newborn babies and healing new mothers.

Finger Lime & Native Mint

A refreshingly minty, citrus morning mug of tea, with immune boosting qualities, perfect for cold season.

Indigenous people have used finger limes for cooking and bush medicine for thousands of years. Abundant in folate, potassium, Vitamin E and Vitamin C, along with Vitamin A, iron and potassium, this native superfood helps build a strong immune system. Vitamin E is one of the most important antioxidants in human cell protection and disease prevention.

Blended with River Mint leaves, make a soothing herbal tea to aid digestion and may help relieve congestion of the common cold.

Finger Lime from Byron Bay and Native Mint grown in SA, hand picked and dried. Mixed with River Mint sourced from all over Australia (often foraged from our community) topped off with organic Peppermint from SA.
